We Beat the Street, and how to get a Job!

Mentor Shiron Vick taught a very important lesson on how on the armor of God, the shield is not just for you, but it is for you and your brother. He donated books to the mentees that everyone one should read if they get the chance. The Three Doctors have written more than one book, but we discussed "We Beat the Street". "details our inspirational story of how we overcame obstacles and became doctors. Geared towards a younger audience, middle school and young adults, We Beat the Street offers instructional, dramatic dialogue through detailed life experiences."

The Life and Work Skills descuss job interviews. We interviewed six of the mentees and gave out a prize to the young men that interviewed the best! Mentees were also encouraged to attend the College Fair at the Dream Center.
