Graduation Day on May 7 was memorable for the warriors, mentors and parents. Everyone seemed to enjoy the ceremony, which was highlighted by the knighting of the warriors by Kelvin Redmond, senior pastor at Body of Christ Church. Following the ceremony, 19 warriors were taken to Camp Kanata for a day of fun, including canoeing, basketball, flag football and other activities. There was plenty of food for everyone as the outing included mentoring programs from across the area.
The entire 2010-11 session of Warrior Passage was a success as the program wrapped up its third year. Plans are already being made for the 2011-12 session which will begin in September following Labor Day. Meeting dates for the upcoming session will be announced in the summer, so stay tuned.
If you know of any boys ages 10-14 who would like to join the program, contact Bruce Bean, 606-6988 or brucbn785@aol.com.
Have an enjoyable and safe summer!
